Skills for Care's South West Deputy Manager Network: Developing and maintaining a positive workplace culture that reflects the increase in international recruitment

From the data submitted via ASC WDS, the latest 'size and structure report' told us that 105,000 international recruits joined social care in 2023/24. This meeting will look at how you can develop and maintain a positive workplace culture which reflects the changing workforce. Guest speakers include Eliza McConnell from Skills for Care and Steve Oswald from Coleman Training. 

Steve is an experienced registered manager having managed nursing homes and residential care homes since 2013. Prior to this Steve was a Practice and Business Manager in the NHS and before this he enjoyed a career in the Royal Air Force Medical Services where he was a leader and manager in primary care, secondary care and part of a governance team inspecting care settings. In addition to this role, he carried out operational tours overseas.
