Care England ENICs Impact Survey

Care England is looking to understand how the recent increase in Employers’ National Insurance Contributions (ENIC) and the National Minimum Wage have affected your organisation.
As part of our ongoing judicial review, we have upcoming meetings with the teams of the Chancellor, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, and the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government. To make sure your experiences are represented in those discussions, we’d be really grateful if you could share how these changes are impacting you.
In particular, we’d like to hear about:
- The financial impact of these increases (for example, cost pressures or reduced margins.)
- Any changes to services you’ve had to make, such as reducing, pausing, or closing services.
- Whether you’re considering withdrawing from local authority contracts, declining new placements, or scaling back services.
- The effect on your staff, including pay, recruitment, retention, and training.
- Anything else you think helps explain the real-world impact on your organisation or the people you support.
You don’t need to write pages; even a few lines or figures would be really helpful. If you already have data or summaries you can share, please feel free to email Fraser Rickatson, Policy Manager at Care England on Frickatson@careengland.org.uk.
If it’s easier, you can share your feedback through our short survey, which will help us reflect your experiences in our upcoming discussions.
Your feedback will directly inform what we put forward to government and strengthen the case for urgent action on funding.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, it really does make a difference.
