Funding for Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training

Following confirmation from DHSC, Oliver McGowan mandatory training funding will continue for adult social care employers in 2026–27.

The training supports providers to meet the legal requirement introduced under the Health and Care Act 2022, ensuring staff receive learning disability and autism training appropriate to their role.

Funding is available through a separate, ring‑fenced LDSS pot, with claims managed via NHSBSA. Early engagement is recommended due to limited funding availability.

Claimants must have an Adult Social Care Workforce Dataset (ASC-WDS) account. Further information can be found here.
