Decarbonisation Support for Businesses

For those who use the WhatsApp group, you may have spotted that we promoted a scheme from East Devon District Council to support the decarbonisation of businesses. It will be launched in early Spring. The first stage is advice and support; free training and workshops, surveys of your current footprint, and an individualised carbon reduction plan. You need to sign up at this stage to access the grants that will be available in the Autumn. 

There is also a service called Prosper which covers East Devon, Exeter, and Mid Devon. It offers a broad range of business support programmes including dedicated Net Zero support, including 1:1 support from an adviser. Use the form on their website to register your interest. We're not aware of any care homes that have used this so if you have and have had either a good or not so good experience, please share your feedback. 

We appreciate that these don't cover our whole membership area. However, as the pressure to reduce our carbon footprint will only increase, other schemes will likely be announced. We will keep our eyes peeled and let you know!
