Devon Care Homes Nursing Education Forum

Thank you to all those who attended our Nursing Education Forum on 24th September.

With a presentation from Lucy Hernaman, Registered Nurse at Heanton Nursing Home, this session offered valuable insights and knowledge on the management of pain and identifying pain in dementia, essential for improving the quality of life for our residents. 

A recording of this session is now available on our website. You can also watch recordings of all the other sessions held to date. Topics include, leading a team and supportive networks, APIE essentials for care home nurses and the process of SBARD.

Our next session will be held on 22nd October at 2pm. Julie Kemmner, Clinical Community Dietitian and Team Lead at the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, will give a talk on what to consider and implement when residents aren't maintaining good nutrition and hydration.
