FREE Sustainability Support (South Hams, Teignbridge and West Devon)

Small businesses and social enterprises across South Hams, Teignbridge and West Devon are being invited to take part in a new round of fully funded sustainability support through the Decarbonisation Programme, led by Libraries Unlimited and BIPC Devon, in partnership with Social Impact Support’s NetShift consortium.
Following the success of previous cohorts, which supported more than 120 Devon businesses to measure and reduce their carbon emissions, the programme is now reopening to help a further 50 organisations create tailored Decarbonisation Plans and take practical steps toward net zero.
Businesses accepted onto the programme receive:
- One-to-one consultancy to assess their carbon footprint
- A bespoke carbon reduction plan with clear, actionable steps
- A two-hour sustainability workshop, resources, and peer networking opportunities
The programme is fully funded and open to SMEs and social enterprises based in Devon.
Places are limited to 15 in South Hams, 20 in Teignbridge, and 15 in West Devon, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding runs out in March.
Andrea Gamson, Project Director of Social Impact Support, said:
“Small businesses are the beating heart of Devon’s economy, and many are eager to play their part in tackling climate change - they just need some practical guidance to get started. This programme provides exactly that: expert advice, tailored plans, and peer support to help local enterprises cut emissions and costs while future-proofing their business.”
Steve Turner, COO of Libraries Unlimited and Business & IP Centre (BIPC) Devon, added:
“We’re delighted to continue offering this opportunity for local businesses to develop sustainability plans that make a real difference. The feedback from previous participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with many reporting both environmental and financial benefits.”
The Decarbonisation Programme is part of Libraries Unlimited’s wider commitment to supporting local enterprise and sustainable economic growth through Devon’s Business & IP Centres (BIPC).
