Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust: New electronic patient record

We’re pleased to share that Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust will be going live with the new electronic patient record (EPR) system on Friday 3rd April 2026. This is an important milestone in improving the way we deliver, coordinate, and record care for our patients and communities. Read the full EPR news release here. 

Our new Epic EPR will bring patient health information together in a digital format that can be shared across different health care settings in Devon. It will include a range of data, including medication and allergies, laboratory test results, radiology images and vital signs. The EPR will bring together all patient records across Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (live on Epic since 2020), Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (launching 3rd April 2026) and University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (launching 23rd July 2026). 

One of the most exciting features of our new Devon wide EPR is the MY CARE patient portal, which we’ll be rolling out across the county. Patients can now sign up and access MY CARE via a web browser or by downloading the MyChart app on a mobile device. People can find out more on our MY CARE webpage.
