This session will explore the impact of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis on older adults living in care settings.

- The impact of these conditions on mobility, independence and quality of life
- Falls prevention and reducing fracture risk in older adults with frailty and bone health conditions
- Supporting safe mobility while promoting independence in daily activities
- The role of nutrition, exercise and early intervention in maintaining bone and joint health
- The role of nurses and care team members in delivering holistic, person-centred care
The session will focus on practical, care home-based approaches to supporting family members living with long-term musculoskeletal conditions. It will provide team members with practical knowledge and strategies to promote safety, dignity, independence and quality of life through high-quality, person-centred care.
