Devon Care Homes Collaborative
Annual Conference 2024

Held at Exeter Racecourse, 14th March 2024

Thank you to all those who attended our Annual Conference on 14th March 2024 and for making it such a positive experience.

The event began with a welcome address from Councillor James McInnes, who stressed the importance of passion and collaboration within the sector. This sense of unity was clearly evident in the number of care professionals who attended the event. Working together, we can inspire change and enhance the quality of care for the elderly and the vulnerable.

Our guest speakers covered a variety of topics, including the new CQC Single Assessment Framework. We also recognised those individuals who have shown extraordinary drive and dedication in their work for the sector.

We hope you found the day both enjoyable and informative.

"I had the most wonderful day yesterday. Your members are a delight and I had so many amazing conversations. Some people have already emailed me and I have also had some offers of voluntary help.
You are incredible and I should love to work with you in any way you thought was appropriate."

Jill Fraser, Kissing it Better (Speaker)

"It was an absolute pleasure to join you all, to reconnect with members I have not seen in person for some time, and the opportunity to be introduced to several new faces too.

I already knew what a professional and collaborative organisation you are, but I was impressed at the quality and diversity of the content and the presenters and how well organised it was.

But what really struck me was the warmth and respect shown to fellow providers and guests alike. In a world where we all have to operate under increasing statutory and budgetary burden, it was inspiring to see the strengths of relationships and quality of support shown. It was a real privilege to be invited and to be made so welcome, thank you."

Deputy Director of Integrated Adult Social Care
